Welcome, I’m Claire Burns, a Pre-K through 4th grade general music teacher of 13 years. I am also a musician, blogger, Teacher-Author at TeachersPayTeachers, tech geek, mommy, wife, gardener, child of God, and most importantly, Jesus-follower.
I teach King’s Ridge Christian School and it is truly a special place. The mission, vision, and passion of this school is embodied daily in how teachers, students, faculty, and staff all conduct ourselves, striving to honor the Lord with our lives and lead others to follow Jesus Christ. Originally existing as Learn Me Music, Winsome Music was created as a way to share my experiences and classroom resources as I teach the best art in the world to amazing students – music for children! There is nothing more wholesome, innocent, creative, and uninhibited!
Professionally, I have taught general music to elementary-aged children for 13 years. I earned a B.Mus in Music Education from the University of Georgia in 2004 (Go DAWGS!!) and later a M.Mus in Music Education from Auburn University in 2007. I live in Georgia with my amazing husband, two fabulous children, and two smelly bulldogs.
